This is Day #3 of a collaborative project with me and my strategic coaching partner, Margi Bush!

As the Boss, you’ll often be forced to view situations in a negative light.  It’s the nature of the job.  If you’re not careful, you’ll lose sight of what delights you in favor of simply what doesn’t piss you off.  Figuring this out is a process.  Think about this:

  • What was the best work experience you ever had? What made it the best?
  • Who was the best boss you ever had? What made them the best?
  • What was the best type of recognition you ever got? What made it the best?
  • Who was the best team member you ever served with? What made them the best?

By thinking about those positive, high-standard people and events, you’ll reframe your thinking to look for the best, not simply what isn’t the worst.  Try it today!
